Growing up in California, owning a truck was a big deal for most of the teenage boys when they became sixteen. They would all start with a simple 4x4 Toyota truck and by the time they were done putting all their accessories on their truck it was a whole different vehicle. They would add truck bed extenders and truck strobe lights to make their trucks look more like an off road all terrain vehicle.
They would also add on mudflaps so they could on there off road adventures. The boys would spend hours off roading in there newly “supped up” trucks. Some would even add on truck ladder racks to ensure all the gear that they would carry was secured on their truck as well. There was nothing that did not think of.
You could always tell which truck was who’s by the truck bed liners. They all had different types of liners. They also had custom truck seat covers made as well for the interior of their trucks. Some of them even had Cobra radar detectors so they wouldn’t get in trouble going over the speed limit. They thought of everything.
The boys would park their trucks out in the middle of the field and comment on all the other trucks and have RC helicopter competitions. It was the highlight growing up to watch the evolution of the trucks and how the newly sixteen year old boys spend hours reinventing there trucks.
The great thing about today is that it hasn’t changed. There are so many accessories to choose from to reinvent your truck. For more information on how you can accessorize your truck like you were sixteen again you can visit www.MyRideMyHobby.com.
